CKP has rental karts available to the public! Our fleet of CRG Centurion karts are great for all levels of drivers – powerful enough for the experienced driver, yet perfectly safe for novice or beginner drivers. Our 0.7-mile outdoor kart track can be run with multiple different configurations and is an absolute BLAST to put some laps on!

» Simply “arrive and drive” anytime we have rental karting open (see calendar below!)
» We provide the go-kart and all required safety gear – rental helmet, neckbrace, and headsock.
» Rental Karting runs in sessions with a max # of 12 drivers. Each session is a 12-minute race around our kart track. Just choose how many sessions you want to do and get ready to hold on tight!
Requirements:
» Must be 18+ years old with a valid U.S. driver’s license to drive(due to state law)
» NO open-toed shoes (or Crocs). We strongly recommend long pants and sleeves as added protection.

*Calendar is subject to change. We typically put the rental karting schedule out 2 weeks ahead of time. In the event of rain, we will make the decision to open or not on the day before, at 12PM noon. We do not run rental karts if the track is wet or rain is forecasted.
Our kart facility uses Clubspeed’s state-of-the-art timing software to take your experience to the next level. Create your own account here (or at the track) and you’ll be able to compare lap times with your friends, save race credits for later, and much more.
Due to state law, all drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Technically, no. Our karts are meant for adults and have adjustable pedals – meaning most can fit without a problem. However, participants around 250lbs and up may experience a tight fit in the seat.
We have complimentary rental seat pads available for customers that need an extra “boost” to reach the pedals.
No, our rental karting is “arrive and drive” with no reservations.
Have a group of 8 or more people? Then you may reserve a private karting event for your group. More info on group rental karting events can be found by clicking here.
Closed-toed shoes are required (no Crocs).
We strongly recommend long sleeves and long pants as extra protection.
Long hair will need to be tucked into your helmet.
When you arrive to Carolina Motorsports Park, we will have a gate attendant to sign you into the park. You will be required to sign all necessary waivers, and we will direct you to the kart parking area. Then you can head to the CKP registration trailer to get checked in for your session(s)!
We run groups of up to 10-12 karts at one time.
